African Lions

Lions are part of the cat family and are one of the only kind that actually live in groups. These groups are called prides, these prides usually consist of up to three males, a douzen females and their cubs.

Only the males boast manes, their manes is impressive and its one of the ways that lions try to attract females. It also catches most of the blows that they recieve during a fight. The darker the manes the more attractive they are, but is a mistake nature made. Lions live in warm climates and with dark manes they heat up faster, the problem with this is that the sperm of the male lions sometimes heats up so high that it stops working.

the females are the pride's main hunters. They often work together to prey upon antelopes, zebras, wildebeest, and other large animals of the open grasslands. Many of these animals are faster than lions, so teamwork helps the group.
